"I'm-afraid-of-heights" Heels

Is it me, or does anyone else find these shoes weird and "I'm-afraid-of-heights" too high? Some of them are cute I must admit.  I love shoes like the next gal, but I couldn't wear these, and they are crazy expensive.  But if this is your style, WORK IT! I'm not mad at you. You can browse and purchase here:

Snow Day!

video

On this beautiful snow day, I can't help but remember when I was in school in The Bahamas, my cousins, friends and I were always jealous of American kids getting snow days and having days off from school.  Well in The Bahamas our snow days were hurricane days - LOL!  Yes, even given the danger of hurricanes, as kids we lived for those days.  We would secretly wish that the roofs of our schools would blow off or windows bust open so we could have additional days off from school.  We were so naive to what the effects of our wishes would cause to so many and how much money it would take to repair- we were silly kids, as we all once were.

For those of you on my side of the world, enjoy your snow day!  And for you others, I hope you have a great day in "your neck of the woods."

Sunday Inspiration

Hey, I just wanted to give you guys some Sunday inspiration.  I wrote this poem 12 years ago.  It was also published in a poetry book, but I can't remember the title of it (that's bad, I know), but the book is around here somewhere.

Jesus on The Cross

By: Khara Campbell

My burdens so heavily upon your back,
The crown for all the times I’ve rebuked you and abused your name.
A nail for all the lies I’ve told, all the people I’ve deceived,
Another for my jealousy, envy and greed.
The spit in your face for the shame I felt for not proclaiming your name,
Yet your blood was shed so that I may be with Thee for eternity.
